Today was a good day, I officially started rehab. I worked on walking, stretching and increasing my strength. Although, rehab will be a challenge, I am looking forward to participating in my recovery. My challenge will be my patience and taking it one day at a time.
Jake and Haley visited tonight and they brought a lot of energy into my room. It was great to see them and give them hugs and kisses. I enjoyed reading all of the cards and blog comments from so many of you. The outpouring has been humbling. I thank everyone for all of the prayers, love and support shown to me and my family. I have felt your prayers. I miss you all and can't wait to be home.

Hello Shane! Seeing your name on the blog is a marvelous surprise. How great it is to hear from you and see your sprit shine through this adversity. You have been missed greatly! Be patient with yourself, allow your body the time it needs to heal, then hurry home to your wonderful family.... you all are still always in my prayers.
I hope they have a good supply of Diet Pepsi on hand for you there!
Shane, my family and I have prayed for you and your family. Your friendship means alot to me and your fellowship along with others have been a big key in helping me return to the church. I know you will fight through this and it will become a important experience in your life!
Great to hear from you. It has been amazing not only to be able to share in your peaks and valleys electronically, but to watch the strength in your family grow as they rally around you. You should be, and I am sure are, very proud of them. Our thoughts are with you daily as you continue on this unexpected journey.
Hello Shane,
It is so good to "hear your voice" electronically. Modern technology is amazing!
Many people have been keeping you in their prayers, myself included. I'm sure the past few weeks have been extremely challenging for you. It pleases me to know that you are recovering and able to see and interact with your family and friends. I'm impressed with you and your family's faith and optimism -- truly and example of "Trust in the Lord" for all of us. I will continue to keep you in my prayers as you progress through rehab.
Your friend,

Shane:)
We have greatly appreciated Sara's updates but we have to say, hearing from you has made our week! We have been so worried about you and have had you and your family in our prayers. We know you are probably so sick of all this hospital stuff and probably can't wait to get home but hang in there!! When times get discouraging, remember your ward family is cheering you on! We love you and your family and we can't wait to see you back at church!
